You will most likely get a negative result, even if you are truly pregnant. We recommend waiting until 12 DPO to take a pregnancy test. Because there are two things that need to happen before your pregnancy test turns positive:. This explains our recommendation to wait until 12 DPO to take a pregnancy test. If 10 DPO is the latest likely day for implantation, and if it takes the full two days for hCG levels to build up to detectable levels, then 12 DPO is the first day that you should get a positive pregnancy test if you are truly pregnant.

Any earlier than that, and your chances of getting a false negative pregnancy test are still high. If you get a negative pregnancy test at 9 DPO, you should wait about three more days before testing again. By 12 DPO, most pregnant women will get a positive pregnancy test if they are using a sensitive test.

While implantation does typically happen around 9 DPO, it can take up to two days for hCG levels to build up to detectable levels in urine. Implantation can happen as early as 6 DPOthough this only occurs for fewer than 0. However, if you hear a lot of stories from friends or strangers on the internet about getting early positive pregnancy tests, the most likely explanation is that they have miscalculated their date of ovulation. For many of these women, ovulation may have occurred earlier than they realized.

Most pregnant women do not experience any symptoms of pregnancy until 5 — 6 weeks of gestation, or 1 — 2 weeks after a missed period. At 9 DPO, there is typically no difference in symptoms between a pregnant woman and a non-pregnant woman. At 9 DPO, it is impossible to distinguish one from the other.

All of these symptoms can occur whether you are pregnant or not. If you are pregnant, progesterone levels continue to climb and symptoms may persist or come and go throughout your first trimester. In Januarywe collected images of positive pregnancy tests from the Ava Bracelet communities.

The following positive tests are all from 9 DPO. Nepomnaschy, C. Weinberg, A. Wilcox, D. Allen J. I am interested in Ava for personal use. AvaWorld Getting Pregnant. Can you take a pregnancy test at 9 DPO? By Lindsay Meisel Jan 17, A really delicate subject to talk about, among so many others can be considered the multiple symptoms with which women deal with within the first nine days after the ovulation period. Usually, a woman that is confronted with this could be two or maybe even three weeks pregnant and could begin to experience early signs and symptoms of pregnancy.

It is important to remember that not all women will experience the same symptoms, at the same time. One of the most common symptom women can expect to find 9 days past ovulation is the tenderness in the breast area. According to specialists, this is perfectly normal, but this is also one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy in the earliest stage. Some women can even experience a heavier and fuller chest, while others could just be confronted with a bit of tenderness.

Still, there are many women who experience such symptoms before their missed period. So, in order not to mistake these for pregnancy symptoms, you should take a closer look at the darker part around the nipple, the areola, which could appear darker in case of pregnancy and larger, so you can use this as a focus point for you. One of the most common, but difficult to identify, symptoms that could be seen as early as 9 DPO is the fact that women could feel more tired than they usually are.

Yes, we know, you already have a busy life and feel tired every day, so you really have to be careful about this particular symptom. Also extreme fatigue is a sign of early pregnancy because your progesterone level will reach a sky high level which will cause the fatigue. If you experience mild cramping in the pelvic region, this could also indicate possible pregnancy as early as 9 days past ovulation. However, this one is a tricky symptom, as the same cramping could be also a premenstrual sign of impending menstruation.

If you think you may be pregnant as early as 9 days past ovulation, keep the faith until it is time to take a pregnancy test to determine for sure if it is in fact pregnancy causing these bodily changes.

It still looks lighter than the control line, so it's not quite positive. Looks close though. They're only positive if the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line, this goes for confirming an hpt result for pregnancy as well, the opk still has to be darker than the control to confirm pregnancy.

Wearing a bra at this stage makes you feel uncomfortable as well. The constant change in hormones during early pregnancy will have you nauseous, dizzy, and suffer from mild headaches.

The presence of hCG in your body would also set you off. Your blood flow, circulation, and production became different and thus, would make you feel nauseous from this change. The growing activity in your uterus will cause your pelvis and back to hurt because of the increasing pressure on your blood vessels joints. Since your spine needs to support that weight, you have to prep it up for you to avoid this situation. Some women might experience symptoms not listed here like cravings and mood swings.

I was a bottomless pit all day - starving from the second I got up. A couple times I thought it felt like AF was starting, but it was really just white cm. Could this have been implantation cramps? Not surprised. Still no AF. Should I just wait and test again in a few days? You could test again in a couple of days as it's still early. Your symptoms could just be af but I guess time will tell-good luck! Kept checking, figuring she'd show, but nothing but cm.

Test at maybe 12 dpo. Sounds just like my symptoms but mine started a few days before the 9dpo mark.

9 days past ovulation

I ended up with no symptoms a few days before I got my BFP, felt almost too perfect. Good luck. Keep us posted. Remember implantation can take up to 4 days to be successful and then another few days for HCG to circulate through your system.

Be patient. I'm waiting for af still, spotting but seems to be getting lighter but feel af will be here any minute. Hope you are having better luck than me! Back still hurting, no cramps since the ones 9dpo - that was just so bizarre!!! Noticed yesterday that my belly felt kind of full, like gas, but without the bubbly, gurgly, rumbling feeling. Still like that today, kinda. DH asked me last night how I was feeling and I burst into tears - don't know if AF is coming, probably too soon to test again, have read things about symptoms that have made me think "OMG this could be it!

If AF doesn't show this week, will wait 'til Saturday am to test again Hope things are ok with you! Hang in there! Totally understand wanting to know! The waiting in the ttc process is so hard. Gd luck and keep us updated! I'm 8 dpo today and I noticed a bit or cramping 2 days ago and a bit today too.

I wonder about symptoms though, my belly does feel quite firm but but not really bloated.
